In September 2025, the Hollywood Bowl reclaimed one of its proudest traditions: hosting genre-defining music reunions. British legends Pulp and dance-rock icons LCD Soundsystem co-headlined two nights, making their return amid high anticipation.

For fans in Los Angeles, the shows were more than nostalgia. They were affirmation: that the Bowl remains vital, that musical legacies are alive, and that L.A.’s open-air amphitheaters can still channel intimacy even in scale. James Murphy (LCD) and Jarvis Cocker (Pulp) traded riffs across decades, collaborating on both setlist callbacks and new work.

The aesthetic felt cinematic: lightscapes mirrored vinyl-era textures, crowds resonated like instruments, and the night sky became a final chorus. In the city that dreams in soundtracks, these two nights felt like homecoming.
