On Rodeo Drive this fall, luxury will smell like truffles. At Dior’s flagship, chef Dominique Crenn (the first female chef in America to earn three Michelin stars) is opening Monsieur Dior by Dominique Crenn, blending couture with cuisine.
The restaurant’s design will echo Dior’s archives: velvet banquettes inspired by the “New Look,” walls lined with sketches, tables set like catwalks. The menu is said to celebrate French heritage while highlighting California terroir.
For Los Angeles, this is a new kind of hotspot one where the table is as fashionable as the runway. It marks the merging of industries that have always circled each other in L.A.: food, fashion, and celebrity.
